Our Packaging

End unnecessary packing.
Our sheds are delivered on a recycled pallet with no unnecessary packaging. This means for our sheds, there is no box to dispose of, no non-biodegradable plastic shrink wrap, and no other plastic covering or protection that the delivered product doesn’t need!
Packaging accounts for nearly a third of municipal solid waste in the UK. Items including cardboard boxes and all types of plastic, metal / glass containers, and foam – these perform the key functions of protecting products and providing information for buyers. However, they are often discarded after a limited time. Some packaging items often end up as litter where they pollute numerous types of environments and then persist in the environment and in living organisms for much longer than they are in use.We feel it is therefore important to do our bit to avoid contributing to this with the products we supply.

The product is delivered on a recycled pallet (many of which have been restored to be safe to use) and we encourage customers to use the pallet with their shed, whether it is turned into a planter, shelving or many other items customers innovatively transformed their pallet into. As the shed is fully preserved and expertly packed, stood up, on the pallet – this means the shed is fine to be outside in various weather types without a detriment to the quality of the product. As the panels are stood up and treated, rainwater cannot pool on the shed and therefore will not negatively impact the structural integrity of the product.

Our Timber

Three Trees Planted For Every One Cut Down.
We have a small, dedicated number of timber suppliers and forests who we work with. These are very carefully selected using a thorough and comprehensive appraisal to ensure they comply with our procurement policy and supply chain documentation. We want to make people feel good about the Power Sheds products, safe in the knowledge that we are giving something back to the environment and be committed to sustainable forest management. Therefore, we will only have a supply chain where forests are cut down sustainably and responsibly. Our work with our supply chain and the timber suppliers we choose can easily be demonstrated as our suppliers plant three trees for every one cut down.

Power Sheds will only ever purchase from timber suppliers who are themselves both FSC® and PEFC certified. Chain of Custody certification traces the wood from forest to distribution and our supply chain requirements ensure our suppliers evidence this. Our timber mills use 100% of the log received and any installed boiler capacity replaces 1000s of tonnes of Carbon per annum. Our major timber supplier has also obtained group approval for the TTF Responsible Purchasing Policy. The policy is a tool that further enhances the suppliers reputation as a responsible, environmentally aware supplier to the timber trade.
